Cycle for Cake Ride + Cycle Scotland Talk
Friday is kicking off with a Cycle for Cake cycle : A sociable and leisurely paced ride that cycles around 15 miles on quiet flat roads to a local cafe for some coffee and cake.
All abilities welcome and no one will be left behind.
9:15am Meeting at the Cross, in Coupar Angus.
Grant Murdoch is talking about his challenges and adventures of cycling around Scotland. This cycle was to raise vital funds to improve cycling facilities in Coupar Angus. In Particular building a pump track (Cycling skills track) and closed road loop Some of the many benefits of this include helping improve peoples cycling skills, tackle social problems and promote exercise in a fun way.
Grants will be talking about his whole story from how the challenge came about to the roller coaster of a ride around the extremities of Scotland and back to Coupar Angus.
This will be a great evening hearing about the Cycle Scotland for Coupar Angus project and seeing many of Grants amazing photos videos from his 1500 mile trip which took him 14 days.
There will also be a cycling related pub quiz after the talk (Teams of 4 enter on the night) and a few short and recent cyling films on show throughout the night)
The Venue : The Bowling club is situated behind the Redhouse hotel in Copar Angus and will have a licenced bar open all evening.
All funds raised from ticket sales go directly to the cycling facilities project.
Tickets will be limited to 100 so get them early to avoid dissapointment. Under 14s go free 🙂
