Welcome to the Coupar Angus Cycling Hub
The Coupar Angus Cycling Hub is here to get people of all ages and abilities cycling. We get people on bikes through a variety of projects and events over the year.
Our activities aim to increase active travel to lower peoples carbon footprint and promote cycling for the environmental, health and social benefits.
Our Bike Shop
Our shop has a large range of New and 2nd hand bikes, parts, clothing and accessories for sale to suit all budgets from a huge range of suppliers. We have a large workshop where we repair and service all types of bikes.
We are also a Bosch service centre for electric bike servicing. We demo and hire bikes from Full suspension Mountain bikes to Electric Bikes. We have a good range of bikes in stock to see and try.
We host a large range of events throughout the year to get more people on bikes and to promote the incredible roads, routes and mountain bike trails we have on our doorstep.
From Ladies only events and cycle Santathons to our massive Summer Cycling Festival there will be an event for you, family and friends to get involved with.
We have arguably the best portable pumptrack in the UK for hire.
Our Pumptrack crew take it around events and festivals to promote cycling in a fun way, engage with hundreds of people and create quite the spectacle when the head to head racing gets going.
We have 3 main current funders :
The Climate Challenge Fund, which funds a 2 year project focussing on increasing the number of pupils traveling to school by active transport, mainly cycling and encouraging p7 pupils to continue cycling when making the transition to Blairgowrie High school. This project aims to reduce car, taxi and bus miles to help save the planet and improve the health and wellbeing of children.
Our Smarter Choices, Smarter Places funding from Paths for All is a 1 year project that has employed an active travel coordinator their role is focussing on changing attitudes and beliefs towards active travel. Gathering current baseline data in Coupar Angus and running events and activities to hopefully get more people using active travel in their day to day lives.
Leader funding has been a fundamental part of the development of the Cycling Hub over the past years to help develop the sustainable aspects of the Hub and it has played a huge role in the refurbishment and improving the facilities at the Cycling Hub, including toilets and insulation.
